Onalaska School District qualifies for Title I Funding.
According to NCLB, all schools receiving funding from Title I must notify parents that they may request information regarding the professional qualifications of their child's classroom teachers. This information is readily available and may be requested in writing at each respective school. Teachers must meet both state certification requirements and federal requirements as indicated in the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act. The District reported one teacher as not meeting the qualifications in 2006-2007. The district will follow the regulations and not hire any teachers that are not designated as "highly qualified".
