SENIOR AWARD CEREMONY FORMS – May 27, 7:00 pm, OHS Gym
SENIOR PARENTS AND GUARDIANS - Onalaska High School is extremely proud of the numerous accomplishments garnered by the Class of 2025, including scholarships and awards for both academics and athletics.
It is our pleasure to invite you to the Onalaska High School Senior Awards Ceremony to be held on Tuesday, May 27, 7:00 pm in the Onalaska High School Gym to watch students being honored for the awards and/or scholarships they have received. Seating for guests will open at 6:45 pm.
Please RSVP to Ms. Baker at jbaker@onysd.wednet.edu with the name of your student and the number of family members who will be attending. There is plenty of seating, so everyone is welcome to attend.
VARSITY TUTORS – Ongoing
The Varsity Tutors Platform gives students more opportunities to learn at their own pace. 24/7 on-demand chat tutoring and on-demand essay review are live tutoring resources to help your student with any questions about homework, classwork, or test prep. Live group classes, recorded classes, and celebrity-led StarCourses allow your student to learn more about the subjects they’re interested in and add a touch of fun. Assessments and self-study practice problems provide opportunities to drill skills towards mastery. And college prep & admissions resources ensure that your student has the best resources available to secure their future.
Students will log into their account by going to the Varsity Tutors website and using their OHS email and password. This is being offered to students in grades 9-12. Students can gain access to the program through the company’s website at https://www.varsitytutors.com/login using their school email address. PEERBOOKS AFTER SCHOOL TUTORING – Wednesdays
Peerbooks Tutoring is available to all students in all grade levels who need a little extra help. Stay after school on Wednesdays and get help with your core subjects from upperclassmen. Adult supervision is present, although students can leave when they are finished. Snacks are provided. See Kaiya Sandridge or the office for more info.

EXPLORING COLLEGE OPTIONS – now through May 22
The Exploring College Options events are almost here. These 60–90-minute events will take place between May 11 and May 22 virtually and in-person all over the country. Exploring College Options is a special informational program sponsored by the undergraduate admissions offices of five of the country's leading universities: Duke University, Georgetown University, Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Stanford University.
Representatives from each university will present information about their institution, discuss the application process, and answer questions on how to put together a strong and reflective application. Each program will end with breakout sessions where representatives will answer questions about their specific school and the application process. We are offering both in-person and virtual programs, with each program featuring the same content.

INTERNSHIP/APPRENTICESHIP/JOB/CAREER OPPORTUNITIES:
WASHINGTON TRANSPORTATION SUMMER CAMP – Apply NowA free one-week residential program designed to introduce HS students to various transportation topics, including urban planning, traffic safety, supply chain logistics, and connected and autonomous vehicles. UNIVERSITY OF DAYTON HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER CAMPS – Deadline May 16female aspiring business scholars (FABS) summer program - FABS is a four-day, overnight camp offered by UD’s School of Business Administration that provides young women hands-on learning through team projects, leadership experience, career exploration and mentorship. Campers will build skills essential for success in college and business, connect with peers, and experience life as a UD student. This camp is designed for rising juniors and seniors. We invite campers of all identities, backgrounds and experiences to participate.
Location: University of Dayton campus
Dates: June 22-25, 2025
Cost: The $300 total cost includes lodging, meals, activity materials, camp T-shirt and water bottle. A $100 nonrefundable deposit is due upon registration and is included in the total cost. Financial assistance is available. Families should indicate on the registration form if they would like to be considered for financial assistance, and we will contact them with additional information.

Summer engineering experiences at UD (SEE-UD) - SEE-UD camps offered by our School of Engineering provide students with an opportunity to explore the diverse fields of engineering and learn more about engineering at UD through interactive modules and hands-on lab experiences. At our three daylong camps on June 16, 17 and 18, participants will learn about a specific discipline of engineering while striving to solve problems our world faces today.
Location: University of Dayton campus
Dates: Each day features one or two engineering disciplines. Participants may attend multiple days if interested. On days with two disciplines, the sessions will run at the same time, and students will choose which session to attend.
June 16: Choose from Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
June 17: Engineering Technology
June 18: Choose from Electrical and Computer Engineering or Civil Engineering
Time: 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Cost: $100 per day (lunch included). Discounts available for students attending multiple days
Optional Daily Opportunities: Campus tour (3:30-4:30 p.m.), Women Engineering Program and Multi-Ethnic Engineers Program engagement and campus tour (3-5 p.m.), Parent and guardian programming: Three optional programs are available at no cost ($10 lunch optional).
The SEE-UD registration will close when capacity is reached. We anticipate all camps to fill quickly.
