This summer, Connor Risley entered two of the quilts that he made in Textile Arts at the middle school into the Lewis County Fair, winning two first-place ribbons. We are so proud of Connor and all of his hard work!
Second grade students in Mrs. Smith's class just finished reading "The Big Dig." The story talks about the process of excavating dinosaur bones. Today, students experienced paleontology and excavated a dinosaur, which came with a fact card. Here are some pictures from our exciting day!

The School Board workshop will not be held on August 21st. Instead, the workshop will be held on August 26th before the regular meeting.
Free Backpack and Supplies event for students in Lewis County

The date will be August 8th from 10a-2p at the Northwest Sporthub (flyers attached). As of right now we anticipate having at least 2,000 backpacks, 500 hygiene kits, onsite haircuts, onsite back to schools clothing, onsite sports physicals, and every school supply a student could need all donated for the resource fair. Thus far we have 29 agencies committed and 38 more pending to be available to offer resources around everything from housing assistance, food insecurity, vaccinations, medical insurance, family and individual counseling, etcโฆ This event is for students and families from anywhere in Lewis County,

Thank you to our HS students who helped lead our incoming students through the tour. They also provided information about each building, staff member and the Aquaculture program.
